The second edition of NIPS conference tagged: “AFRICAN-FOCUSED STRATEGIC CONFERENCE FOR THE PETROLEUM SECTOR” was held from 27^th – 31^st of January, 2019. Conference commenced on the 27^th, with a welcome cocktail reception at Transcorp Hilton and pre-conference activities at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

The conference was declared open by Dr Emmanuel Ibe Kachukwu, Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources who represented the President and Vice President. Among the representatives of foreign governments who graced the event are: His Excellency  Azhari Abdalla, Minister of Petroleum, Sudan, Hi Excellency Jean-Marc Thystere Tchicaya, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Republic of Congo, His Excellency Jens Frolich Holte, State Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway, His Excellency Foumakoye Gado, Minister of Petroleum, Republic of Niger, and His Excellency Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
